What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Local storage is a related browser technology that lets a site save data on your device. Together they let the Service remember information between pages and visits — for example, keeping your test result available on your device without an account.
How we use them
Essential
These are necessary for the site to function — for example, to keep the assessment working as you move through it, to remember your consent choices, to store your test result locally on your device, and to keep the Service secure. The site cannot work properly without them, so they do not require consent.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These set cookies and may use local storage to measure pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and device information, and (in Clarity's case) to build aggregated heatmaps of clicks and scrolling. Analytics cookies are non-essential and are used based on your consent where required.
How to control cookies
You are in control of cookies and local storage:
- Use any cookie or consent banner we present to accept or decline non-essential categories.
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies; most browsers also let you clear a site's local storage, which removes locally saved results.
- Opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out tools.
- Note that blocking essential cookies or clearing local storage may break parts of the Service or erase a result saved only on your device.
